Alternative Ladestation für Mobil Telefone / Alternative mobile phone charging station!

Man muss sich nur zu helfen wissen. In Ermangelung an öffentlicher Stromversorgung entwickeln die Menschen schnell pragmatische Ersatzlösungen. Das Mobile Telefon ist in Afrika in der Zwischenzeit wirklich zum Fetische geworden. Selbst wenn die Mittel knapp sind scheint dafür immer noch Geld da zu sein. Ich kriege ja so mit wie viel da unnütz telefoniert wird. Das ist eine Goldgrube für die Telefongesellschaften. Es ist sicher ohne Zweifel, dass das Mobile Telefonnetz das Leben vieler Menschen enorm erleichtert hat. Aber es fehlt häufig an der Disziplin der vernünftigen Nutzung. Mein Fahrer bekommt über den Tag mehr Anrufe als ich mit einer Mitarbeiterschar von 120 Personen.

Bei uns hat der Endspurt begonnen. Noch 19 Tage bis zur Abreise nach Deutschland. Am Samstag habe ich die Funkanlage von Elke abgebaut. Jetzt ist TT8ET wieder stumm. Das wird so bleiben, bis Elke an Bord von La Paloma ist. Das ist geplant für den 03.06.2012, dann aber unter den alten Rufzeichen EL2TE.

The mobile telephone has become a real fetish for the population. Even if the money is always short, mobile telephones are still very important. On my own observation most of the people are using the telephone extensively. The mobile telephones are the money making horse for the companies. I believe that the existence of the mobile phones has changed the live of a lot of people in Africa. Only the discipline in using it is not very high developed among most of the people. My driver is receiving more calls during the day as me been in charge of a setup with around 120 employees.   

We are at the end of our journey in Chad. Only 19 days until our departure from here. On Saturday the radio station of Elke has been dismantled and TT8ET is silent again. This will be until Elke will join me on the boat on 03.06.2012, with her call sign EL2TE.
