Vor Anker in San Antonio, Ibiza / At Anchor in San Antonio, Ibiza

Im Bootsmannstuhl im Mast / in the bosum chair high in the rigg

Since Thursday we are in San Antonio on Anchor. The weather is fantastic and we enjoy the stay here. Lots of activities around here like water skying, and all related fun. On our sail from the main land to here our line for the flags cut and have to be replaced. Luckily we could save the flags to land in the sea. That means the captain has to enter in the mast. We hoisted our special lift to the top of the mast and attach the bosom chair to it and up  the captain is in the air. Elke has attached a security line to the chair to avoid the captain is falling on deck, this leaves bloody marks on the teak and the captain is hurt. Our solar installation versus the consumption of electricity in 24 hours is well balanced, we are producing more electricity then we normally consume in 24 hours. Yesterday we started the water maker (drinking water from sea water). After 2,5t hours we had recovered all the consumption for the last 4 days in our water tank. There was enough electricity even to charge the battery. This is a nice system to do this all with solar energy without CO2 emission and noise from a Generator. See the picture from the captain in the mast.
