Ein mächtiger Sturm ist im Anmarsch. Eine Zelle aus einem Azoren-tief mit bis zu 60 Knoten kommt auf Madeira zu. Am Samstag soll es sich über Madeira austoben. Der Wind soll dann mit bis zu 60 Knoten aus Süden über die Insel herfallen. Der Wind kommt aus Süden und der Hafen ist nach Süden ungeschützt. Wir sind heute um 13:00 von Porto Santo in Richtung kanarische Inseln ausgelaufen. Zusammen sind wir sicher 6 Boote, die diese Entscheidung getroffen haben. Es wird sicher zwei Tage dauern bis wir da sind, aber es sind nur mäßige Winde auf dem Stück vorhergesagt. Schauen wir mal was uns auf dem Weg erwartet.
A strong depression is coming from the Azores towards Madeira. The wind should have up to 60 knots in the peak from the south. The port of Porto Santo is open from the south and has no shelter. We have decided to sail to the canary islands which will take us 2 days. We need 2 1/2 day to reach the islands. We are 6 boats in total which made the decision to sail away from the storm. We will see what will be on the road.
